Your Cottage in the City
The Kanata Sailing Club is a volunteer-run cooperative on the beautiful shores of the Ottawa River. We are just 30 minutes from downtown, but it feels like a different world. We own the fleet, you do the sailing. No towing, no launching fee, no hassle. Just grab a boat and go!
Learn To Sail
Don’t know tacking from gybing? We’ve got you.
- Adult Learn to Sail: Zero experience required. We teach you how to handle a boat safely, and you get 50% off your first year of membership to keep practicing.
- Junior Summer Camp: Get the kids off their screens and onto the water. They will spend a week outside learning the ropes and gaining the confidence to captain their own SailQube dinghy.

Whether you are a seasoned racer or just want to hang out and relax on the deck, we have a spot for you.
- Sailing Memberships: Full access to our fleet of dinghies and catamarans. Pass a quick checkout, and the boats are yours to use. We offer Family, Single, and heavily discounted Student & Young Adult (18-30) rates.
- Social Membership: Love the water, but not the sailing? Get full access to our clubhouse, BBQs, beach, canoes, and dock. Bonus: This tier lets you tag along as crew on a sailboat up to 4 times a season without paying for a full sailing membership.
