Training - Starts May 10th, enroll now

Basic certification to the equivalent of the Canadian Yachting Association While Sail Level III is mandatory for all club sailors.  See the  CYA website for more details on this program.
 
Members are required to obtain their "Blue Tag" allowing them to sail any of the club's monohull boats.  Qualification for the Blue Tag include either a CYA White Sail III level or equivalent if approved by the KSC Training Director.  The KSC provides (members only) training for the CYA White sail program, levels I, II, and III 

The Basic course starts with orientation and a dry-land training session, followed by a series of on the water classes with follow-up briefing sessions, lasting from mid May until the third week of June.  Total course time is expected to be 8 weeks.
 
For experienced sailors new to the club, only a one time check out session is required.
 
The club also offers catamaran training for members who were certified to White Sail level III in a previous season.  Qualified members receive their "Green Tag".  Please contact the KSC Training Director for details on this program.
